Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is Mexican-born musician born into a musical family. Her early years were shaped by classical music, boleros and the classic romantic, ranchero and romantic ballads. Ana is a fan of tangos and operas as well as other dramatic shows. At age 16 she began singing and learning the piano with her mom. Flavio, a Mexican Tenor with a renowned reputation, began giving her a more intensive singing instruction. In Guadalajara, she attended the School of Music of University of Guadalajara before moving on to Toluca at The School of Sacred Music. When she was a student, and a young professional, she was a part of numerous chamber ensembles and opera choruses in Guadalajara as well as Mexico City. After moving into the United States, she performed with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. In 2002 she moved to southern California. She currently is a part of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and is a frequent solo performer in the traditional Latin American music at private occasions. In addition to being an active performer as well as an instructor and instructor, her passion for art and music has her engaged in a wide range of projects. Ana is also a past participant in the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana hopes that with her performance of Latin American traditional songs, that she can bring about a desire, specifically in the younger generations to keep this tradition vibrant.
